The show-stopper for me would be the one-of-a-kind oversized custom lighting fixtures throughout which act like the jewelry in the spaces. They are delicately detailed dangling sparkling and very shiny to contrast against all of the hard rustic features of the home. My team and I detailed and designed the oversized light fixtures to balance the proportions of the open floor plans and bring a feminine touch to the clean hard lines and masculine monochromatic interiors.
The overwhelming influence of Japanese design is apparent from the very beginning as one comes across a lovely stone garden and a stylish entrance that reminds us of a typical Japanese garden. An art gallery with sleek minimal design sits on the opposite side of the spacious pool house that offers unabated views of the lake thanks to the extensive use of glass. The interior is covered in teak floors plaster walls and a wood ceiling to give it a peaceful and organic ambiance.

The ambiance of the home is inviting and unassuming creating a sense of serenity the moment you step in. Unlike many other houses the master suite kids’ bedrooms with bunk beds and guest rooms occupy the lower level of the residence while the top two floors hold the public spaces. This was done to ensure that the living areas got the best possible views while the bedrooms combined a smart blend of privacy and openness.
Tucked underneath the living zone a multi-functional recreational space ensures the family takes advantage of both modern design and exceptional landscapes. A glass wall separates this space from the indoor pool allowing natural light to flood the interiors.
