In an effort to create a community within the forest the designers imagined a single plan for all the houses that brings together unity giving the residents both privacy from the outer world while preserving a wholesome amount of intimacy. From the photos it can be assumed the buildings have met and exceeded all expectations.
Tucked underneath the living zone a multi-functional recreational space ensures the family takes advantage of both modern design and exceptional landscapes. A glass wall separates this space from the indoor pool allowing natural light to flood the interiors.
An interplay of neutral and soft color tones paints the walls. The interior decor of the house was selected to represent a more modern and high-class lifestyle while exercising a magnitude of minimalism at the same time. Entering the house is in other words exploring uncharted territories of comfort and luxury. But in efforts to maintain the level of energy nature prescribes wood flooring and nature-themed furniture were brought in to flirt with the home’s urban chicness.
The key to creating a modern glam loft is knowing when to hold back. This look is every bit as subtle as it is stunning. While not as luxe as a penthouse featuring mirrored furniture and Hollywood Regency flair the glamour comes from the little things: a marble surface here and there a shiny light fixture or a geometric patterned rug. Clean-lined furniture keeps the elegance in check.
But just when you thought this space was all about industrial style we see the chic home office below featuring white walls custom cabinetry and a curvy chair that packs on the cutting-edge personality thanks to fabric designed by Stephen Sprouse! A concrete wall adds raw style to the bathroom. Check out that wooden sink with a built-in towel rack!
The design studio built four houses – which was out of the request of the client – strategically using every corner on the plot of land. That way they revealed the true magnificence of the surrounding landscape and atmosphere.
Virtually bringing the ocean indoors with the extensive use of glass walls and windows every room in this grand house has been designed to offer unabated and sweeping views of the vast Pacific making a stay here an absolute dream. Designed by Horst Architects along with Aria Design the exquisite residence encourages you to spend more time outdoors than inside!
