This led to the creation of an exceptional residence that effortlessly brings together the old and the new. With Gilad’s mother moving out into a small house next to the existing larger house the interior of the grand old house was altered considerably to usher in an open floor plan.
The overwhelming influence of Japanese design is apparent from the very beginning as one comes across a lovely stone garden and a stylish entrance that reminds us of a typical Japanese garden. An art gallery with sleek minimal design sits on the opposite side of the spacious pool house that offers unabated views of the lake thanks to the extensive use of glass. The second floor (downstairs) is where you will find the Guest Quarters; it has a large Guest Sanctuary (living room) which includes custom furnishings to accommodate 20 guests a large linear fireplace a Game Room with billiard table and access to an outdoor Jacuzzi and party deck. There are three large Guestrooms on this floor and each has its own private bathroom a Bunk Room with queen-sized bunk beds for 12 guests and a very large shared bathroom.
The lower level is clad in chic pristine white with a living room dining area and a fabulous kitchen connected in an open floor plan. Hand-scraped oak floors and pops of color here and there perfectly complement this glossy white lacquered look.
