The show-stopper for me would be the one-of-a-kind oversized custom lighting fixtures throughout which act like the jewelry in the spaces. They are delicately detailed dangling sparkling and very shiny to contrast against all of the hard rustic features of the home. My team and I detailed and designed the oversized light fixtures to balance the proportions of the open floor plans and bring a feminine touch to the clean hard lines and masculine monochromatic interiors.
The beautiful combination of contrasting textures starts with the façade of the home which features a glass and white cement exterior for the ground floor and a warm reclaimed wood surface for the second floor. This gives the home a cool contemporary appeal allowing it to blend with its surroundings thanks to the natural organic vibe.
An unconventional structure brought to life by Jonathan Segal FAIA the luxurious Cresta residence in California pushes the boundaries of creativity to a whole new level. With a touch of industrial style thanks to its exposed concrete walls and the use of high quality materials and furniture Cresta embraces indoor-outdoor living with ease. And did we mention the recessed lighting that takes over the house after sunset? It looks stellar directly on concrete.
Designers at E. Cobb Architects have outdone themselves with this luxurious Graham Residence. A consistent grey pattern — rather stylish I must say — broken with warm shades of wood and bold colors beautifully complements the amazing ocean views that are only enhanced by the huge floor-to-ceiling windows. Windows which actually define it as a ….glass house. Funny how a strong powerful material like concrete can mix ever so nicely with glass don’t you think?
Beautiful views of the outdoors are increasingly becoming almost a mandatory part of most homes across the globe. Seems like everyone wants that perfect window seat with a view to remember! This is especially true in the case of holiday homes which offer homeowners a chance to take a break from their hectic regular lives and indulge in some rest and recreation.
The most striking feature of this stylish luxury retreat is the inviting infinity pool nestled in one of its upper levels. With the weather in the region staying pleasant for the better part of the year owners of the place are bound to more spend time outdoors than indoors.
A lovely sidewalk leads to the entrance of the house which opens up into a stylish living area clad in neutral tones. An open kitchen and dining area are visually connected with the living space on one side and with the gorgeous outdoor garden on the other. Stylish sliding glass door blur the lines between the interior and the backyard while a contemporary floating staircase leads to the top level which houses the master suite and the private terrace.
