Designed with innovative brilliance by Meridian 105 Architecture the is all about creating a lovely tranquil retreat amidst busy urban chaos. Draped in a cloak of warm wooden tones the residence was specifically created to keep away the constant noise of city traffic that surrounds the place.

Virtually bringing the ocean indoors with the extensive use of glass walls and windows every room in this grand house has been designed to offer unabated and sweeping views of the vast Pacific making a stay here an absolute dream. Designed by Horst Architects along with Aria Design the exquisite residence encourages you to spend more time outdoors than inside!

The lowest floor is the Ski Room where there are lockers a powder room a wall of ski-boot warmers and a small enclosed ski repair room tucked in the corner where you can hone and wax your skis near the Guest Laundry Room. From this lower level you can ski directly onto the slopes.

But the exterior contours were kept as untouched as possible to ensure that the renovation was both economical and aesthetically pleasing. A lovely little living area sits next to a beautiful kitchen and dining space which are all visually connected to the spacious backyard.

The show-stopper for me would be the one-of-a-kind oversized custom lighting fixtures throughout which act like the jewelry in the spaces. They are delicately detailed dangling sparkling and very shiny to contrast against all of the hard rustic features of the home. My team and I detailed and designed the oversized light fixtures to balance the proportions of the open floor plans and bring a feminine touch to the clean hard lines and masculine monochromatic interiors.

The key to creating a modern glam loft is knowing when to hold back. This look is every bit as subtle as it is stunning. While not as luxe as a penthouse featuring mirrored furniture and Hollywood Regency flair the glamour comes from the little things: a marble surface here and there a shiny light fixture or a geometric patterned rug. Clean-lined furniture keeps the elegance in check.

In the case of the Baleia Condos the forestry foliage of South America and the romantic shores of Baleia were catalysts for something fabulous. You can easily skip out to the pristine sand domes to soak in the sweeping beauty of the ocean. This nature-infused abode is enveloped by lush greens and aromatic flowers – plants that are found only in the Southern Hemisphere.
