An architectural masterpiece overlooking spectacular mountain panoramas Zinc House stuns with its dynamic architectural language. The name explores the handcrafting qualities of zinc – this material lends its charm to the whole building creating a unique architectural display.
While the core elements of the house are to bridge the gap between nature and modernization the divide between exterior and interior design is what makes this home so distinctive. The division of spaces allows for a more versatile setting. For starters the backyard deck opens to a gem-like pool tiled to better accent the color scheme of the house’s exterior facade.
My favorite piece is the custom 14′ long chandelier over the dining table which I designed and had fabricated specifically for this project. It was hand-cast to resemble a large tree branch with clusters of quartz crystals and tiny LED lights.
Contemporary residences are increasingly becoming all about a seamless integration of the interiors with the natural exterior. Located on a rocky coastal strip in California the offers amazing ocean views while its lavish interiors extend outdoors thanks to the breathtaking patio and pool deck.
Exceptional customization is shown in the design of the cigar lounge – a highly private space inspired by the opium scene. Completed by a sauna an outdoor barbecue space an outdoor metallic staircase and a panoramic glass elevator Zinc House is the epitome of a private haven.
